Games 4 & 5/Divisional Realignment

The Hot Rods Hockey Club remains undefeated on the season, posting wins in their last two games with a 5-0 decision over the Healthy Scratches and a 7-3 victory over the Replacements.

Game #4
In the win versus the Healthy Scratches, Cam Campbell led the way with 2 goals and 4 PIMs. Campbell's first goal set the tone early in the first period with what could be the nicest pass in the history of the Hot Rods HC. This reporter cannot recall who actually sent the pass but he is probably very attractive and well-bearded. Keith Pelletier, Sean Vander Linden and Chris Potter also picked up goals for the Rods.

Against all odds, Nick Giannoulis was held off the score sheet. At one point during the game, with no one around him, he repeatedly called for the puck, with his stick ready in the air for an Ovechkin-like one-timer. When the puck finally made it his way, and he was able to get a shot away, many of his teammates thought they were watching the slo-mo instant replay of the shot, but it turned out he didn't quite get as much wood on it as he would have liked.

Game #5
Hot Rods win 7-3. Not much to report.

....Except for allegations that Dean Tuttle felt sorry for the other team, so he starting shooting on his own net. Or he wanted to score so badly that it didn't matter which net he put it in. Much to his shigrin, he couldn't seem to find the back of the net on either goalie.

Divisional Realignment
The Heartbreak Kids were moved down to Tier 3 - Div B and the Wild moved up to our division. We are currently going to stay in Tier 3 - Div A for now. The realignment made it so a few of our game times were moved from Fridays at 9 to Tues at 10:30. Check the Hot Rods NCHL Page or Teamsnap for more details on changes in game times.

***Next action is Friday, Oct 13th vs the Heartbreak Kids at 9:00 pm at Scott Seaman Arena.***
